I spent Easter with my Dad’s side of the family this year and got to see Alicia and Mike, and they wanted to spend just a little bit of time to get some one year anniversary pictures. I couldn’t believe a year had already gone by since I shot their wedding, but sure enough in a couple of days they will celebrate their one year anniversary. Here is the slideshow from their wedding in Houston last year. Here are my favorite shots from our time together on Easter. Enjoy.

This is lil miss Delaney and I met up with her at the Dallas Arboretum a few weeks ago to have a fun session. Delaney was a cute subject to capture and she was full of personality and loved to be in front of the camera. One of my favorite thing about any session is getting authentic and real moments with my subject and get past any “say cheese” moments. Many times this means I have to spend time being a complete goof ball so they can feel comfortable and just be themselves for me, which I enjoy doing. It is also fun to just watch kids explore their environment and just work off their queue. Here are some of my favorites from the session and you will see a wide array of emotions from Delaney. Enjoy!

I am very excited to share today’s pictures with you for several reasons, one of those reasons was because I had the opportunity to shoot at the W Hotel in Dallas for the first time, and the most important reason was because I got to shoot an engagement session with a life-long friend. Not many people can say they keep up with their friends from elementary school, with facebook so popular now it isn’t hard to find them, but how many have you actually remained friends with? I can proudly say that Vincent and I have been friends since Kindergarten! How crazy is that? I put a little storyboard together ranging from our awesome flat top haircut elementary school days, our middle school soccer days, graduation day in high school, and ending with a picture of us together on my wedding day.

I have known Alexis since high school so it has been so great to just know a couple for so long and then get to hang out and take pictures of them. We have all been excited for this day to come and so glad it finally got here! We first stopped at a park in Richardson so we could get some pictures of them together in the park and include some with their dog. We then made our way to the W hotel for the remainder of the session and it was so much fun to get to walk around and find awesome places to shoot inside! We were also allowed to make our way up to the Wet Deck of the W Hotel and we were able to get some shots of the American Airlines Center in the background. This was semi-important for them because Vincent plays for the Mavericks, or at least that is how I like to phrase it when I tell all my friends, Vincent is on the drumline for the Mavericks home games, so I wasn’t lying to you, he actually plays for the Mavericks! So next time you go to a home game and hear some people banging on some drums you should look over and go say hi. Well enjoy my favorites from this session, make sure you see all 30 of them by clicking the link below .
