Meet Phillip and Casey. Casey and I go to the same church in Forney, Tx and we just so happen to co-lead a bible study full of high school students. Phillip is awesome because he is a singer/guitar player in a worship band named Burgundy Road. This engagement session was unique because I got to tag team with another awesome wedding photography team known as Ben and Chrys Q. They really took the lead on this engagement session while I tagged along since I knew the couple and wanted to have some fun shooting as well. It was so cool getting to work with other photographers, especially ones that have a different style and look than you because we all see things with different creative eyes. I had a blast and I know Phillip and Casey felt blessed to get double the awesomeness of pictures. Here are some of my favorites from our time together. I suggest checking out Ben and Chrys Q’s website for their take on the engagement session. Enjoy!

I met up with Ben and Jade to shoot their engagement session this past Sunday, although I do not know if you can call it an engagement session, maybe a more appropriate name would be “holy moly we are getting married in less than a week” session. Haha. Well now they are actually only two days away from their big day, and I couldn’t be more happy for this sweet couple. Both Ben and Jade have been around since my very first wedding I shot back in 2007, Jade was a bridesmaid during my first wedding and she was so incredibly helpful throughout the day, while Ben was one of the musicians that played during the ceremony. So it is great to come back three years later and shoot their engagement photos and Jade’s bridal portraits. We started the session off on the SMU campus, we then made our way to the Crooked Tree Coffee House and we totally jacked one of their couches and brought it out into a field near by, and then we ended at the Half Price Book Store in Dallas. As you can imagine those last 6 days before your wedding can be hectic trying to get all the final details in order and get your new home all ready, I was thankful that they could take some time away to relax and just enjoy some sweet time with each other and just have fun loving on one another. Stay tuned next week for Jade’s amazingly awesome bridal session! Thank you so much you two for allowing me into your lives and capturing some special moments. Enjoy.

I had the pleasure of spending a beautiful day in downtown Plano with Preston and Melissa two weeks ago for their engagement session. I have had the pleasure of knowing Melissa since my college years through mutual friends and both being art education majors at the University of North Texas. I was honored and excited when she contacted me to be her wedding photographer! Here are some of my favorite images from our session while we walked around the downtown Plano square. Enjoy!
